Festival Valle d’Itria 2019

The Valle d’Itria Festival of Martina Franca was born in 1975 on the initiative of a group of music lovers keen on Alessandro Caroli, first president of the Festival, with the decisive support of Franco Punzi, then Mayor of Martina Franca, and Paolo Grassi , then superintendent of the Teatro alla Scala.

The 45th edition of the Valle d’Itria Festival will be entirely dedicated to Paolo Grassi in the year of the centenary of his birth (with a series of initiatives for the occasion) and promises to be among the richest and most interesting ever.

The musical programming is titled “Albori e bagliori. Naples and Europe: the golden century” and outlines a tribute to Naples, the Neapolitan music school and its international prestige.
