Locorotondo (U Curdúnne in the dialect of Bari) is an Italian city of 14,253 inhabitants in the province of Bari, Puglia, inserted into the circuit of The most beautiful villages in Italy. It is one of the major tourist centers of Valle d’Itria and, among other things, has become famous for Locorotondo DOC The city was said to mid-nineteenth century “Luogorotondo” for the characteristic round shape of the town  and among the most interesting monuments, the Church of St. Giorgio Martire, the church of San Rocco, the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows, the ‘Living Museum of the Valley of Iria and the wonderful old town with its typical “Cummerse” (houses with roof gable built with dry stones).
